A weekend to remember for the Strathcona FireFit Team at the 2016 Canadian National Finals in Calgary September14-18! The Mixed Relay team of Lt Darren Anderson, FF Brad Dicks, FF Kris Chlebek, and FF Carla Morrison came out on top with a World Record and National Title! The team edged out Toronto Pearson in the final with a time of 1:12 (Toronto Pearson held the previous record of 1:14).  The Mixed X3 team (Morrison and Anderson) placed third overall, winning the Bronze Medal by 2/100ths of a second.  New personal bests were put up by Anderson at 1:32, Chlebek at 1:36, and Dicks, who put up the team's first sub 90 time, with a 1:27.  FF John Huk posted a new personal best earlier in the season, throwing down a time of 1:36 to go along with back to back Gold Medals in the Over 40 Category at regional events in Fox Creek and Calgary.

The Team will be training periodically through the winter in preparation for next season, which will begin in May.  Any members interested in training with the team or possibly competing next season, are encouraged to forward their name to a current team member.
